What stove & oven types do we fix?

We can fix the following types of stoves and ovens:

Electric oven

Here are the most common malfunctions of electric ovens that our technicians deal with most often:

  • The oven does not heat up. If the food has been cooking for a long time at the maximum temperature and one side of the food is not cooked enough, one of the heating elements may be defective. Replace them with new ones.
  • Error codes. If there are any malfunctions in the system, information about them will appear on the display. Each manufacturer uses its own codes, which are explained in the manual.

Gas oven

A gas appliance can be dangerous if it is used incorrectly. But it’s much easier to diagnose and fix a fault.

  • The door does not close properly. If the problem is with the seal, it must be replaced. Loose fitting of the door may lead to many other problems; contact us to examine the unit.
  • The burner is blocked or malfunctioning. If the burner lights up, look at the colour of the flame. The blue colour indicates normal combustion. A red or orange colour indicates a malfunction. A change in the colour of the flame is an indicator of insufficient air in the gas combustion chamber or an indication of incomplete combustion of fuel. It is in this case that the assistance of a specialist is required.
  • The heating coil is broken. If the coil does not work, it must be replaced.

Induction stove

An induction hob is safer and more efficient. It works by electromagnetic induction – eddy currents heat the metal. The common issues are:

  • The stove does not work. The problem can be anything. We recommend contacting us to check all the internal parts of the unit for any faults.
  • Lack of power. This may be due to a defective cable or problems with the socket.

The main questions about stoves and ovens

Why is my stove burner not igniting?

If a burner fails to ignite, it could be due to a faulty ignition switch, spark electrode, or a clogged burner or igniter port.

Why is my oven not heating up to the desired temperature?

Ovens that don’t reach the correct temperature may have issues with the thermostat, bake element, broil element, or temperature sensor.

How can I fix a stove burner that is not heating evenly?

Uneven heating can result from a damaged burner element, loose electrical connections, or a malfunctioning control switch. Replacing the element or addressing electrical issues may be necessary.

Why does my oven smoke or smell burnt?

Smoking or burning odours can be due to spilled food or grease in the oven, a damaged bake or broil element, or problems with the oven’s insulation. Cleaning and inspecting the oven can help identify the issue.

How can I troubleshoot a gas oven that won’t ignite?

Gas ovens do not ignite due to problems with the gas supply, igniter, safety valve or thermocouple. It is important to put safety first when working with gas appliances and to call in professional help if necessary.

Why is my stove’s control panel not responding?

A non-responsive control panel may be due to a faulty control board, damaged wiring, or issues with the touchpad or control knobs.

How often should I clean my oven and stove?

Regular cleaning is necessary to prevent the build-up of grease and food residues that can lead to an unpleasant odour and potentially affect the operation of the appliance. Clean as needed, but it is recommended that you perform a deep cleaning several times a year.

How can I maintain my stove and oven to prolong their lifespan?

Regular maintenance includes cleaning the burners, racks and interior of the oven, checking seals and gaskets, and checking and tightening electrical connections. For specific maintenance recommendations, refer to the instructions for your appliance.
